FAQ’s

  • I have a longer post here about why you should use a travel advisor in general, but in regards to myself:

    • I am wholeheartedly enthusiastic about wanting my clients to have the trip of a lifetime every time I book for them.

    • I have traveled to countless countries across 5 continents (full list here), lived in Italy and the USVI and have a wealth of personal experience to support my recommendations.

    • I have an extensive network of other enthusiastic travel advisors I can collaborate with to offer personalized guidance for places I haven’t yet visited.

    • I am affiliated with Fora Travel, A modern travel agency who has extensive partnerships with some of the world’s best properties which means I have access to perks at some of the world’s best properties.

  • Most simple bookings do not incur any charges as travel advisors receive commissions from properties and travel providers without any additional cost to you. I will also provide restaurant and basic activity suggestions that you can book independently or through the hotel concierge at no expense to you.

    For more complex bookings such as scheduling activities, tours, making restaurant reservations and routing between multiple cities, a planning fee is applicable. This fee starts at $200 per week of travel and includes a custom itinerary.

    While I will make flight recommendations as part of the above mentioned planning fee, I do not typically book airfare. If this is a service you would like to include please inquire and we can discuss options and fees further.

  • The honest answer is, I prefer not to. I have found that most clients actually prefer to book their own and it makes for a much more seamless experience when I can focus on the adventure you will have when you arrive at your destination.

    If your preference is for me to book your airfare, the incurring fee would start at $100 per person.

    2. I will send you some basic preliminary questions to make sure I would be a good fit for your travel needs.

    3. Once we have made this determination, I will follow up with some additional questions to get a full picture of your travel needs and wishes.

    4. I will then get to work on utilizing all of my resources to curate the best possible recommendations.

    5. After you review and approve the details of your trip, I will book directly with my travel partners to make sure you are getting the best possible price and all available perks.

    6. Once everything is booked I will send you an updated itinerary to include confirmation numbers, contact information and any additional details you may need.

    7. Before you go I will remain available for questions and I will also alert you to any pertinent information regarding your travel and destination.

    8. During your trip, I will be available as a liaison between you and our travel partners should you need anything.

  • Once we have finalized your itinerary, I will send you a CC Authorization form outlining any fees to be charged to your card. I will then contact you via phone for your CC information. We are currently required to make bookings/payments directly to ensure you receive any applicable specials or perks.

  • Prior to booking, you will be provided with each provider’s change/cancellation policy. Please be advised that while we do have relationships with these travel providers, we are subject to their standard policies regarding changes and cancellations and we will not be able to negotiate exceptions should you choose to cancel or change outside of the terms of their policies.

    Should you need make changes or cancel any part of your itinerary booked through me, I would be happy to facilitate this for you.

  • The simple answer is no, I am not limited to only specific providers.

    Most hotels, resorts, cruises and tour providers work with travel advisors and if you have specific properties you prefer that are not part of our preferred program I would be happy to reach out on your behalf.

    While this is the case, I will typically recommend properties that are part of our preferred program because they are properties we can trust and these are also the properties where. we can VIP you by obtaining perks which is one of the best reasons for using a travel advisor. While I will recommend these properties, I will never push you to book somewhere that you do not feel is a perfect fit for you. Please be assured that our property partners are in the thousands spanning across the globe.

    One type of property I will not be able to book for you is Airbnb or VRBO type properties. If you do prefer this style of property, we do have some independent properties in popular locations that I can suggest for you.
